AZ Electronic Materials’ Operations in Japan Not Directly Affected by Earthquake

11 March 2011
The northeast area of Japan was hit today by a major earthquake. We would like to express our concern for the safety and welfare of the people of Japan as they deal with this natural disaster.
The AZ facilities at Shizuoka prefecture and in Tokyo are secure and suffered no damage as a result of the quake. Also, our dielectric operations in Shizuoka and Saitama have suffered no damage, and are expected to operate normally next week.
The AZ Business Continuity Plan (BCP) has been activated to address any disruptions to our supply chain which may arise from the earthquake. The BCP is a proactive contingency operation to address any potential supply issues for our customers; although we are not anticipating any significant issues, we will communicate directly to our customers any situations we do identify.
