Skills & experience

Mr Whybrow has significant experience of serving on major public boards, including as Chairman, and of the semiconductor and consumer electronics industries. Mr Whybrow was Chairman of Wolseley plc from 2002 to January 2011, having joined the board of that company in 1997. He has been Chairman of CSR plc (2004-2007) and a non-executive director of Dixons Group plc (2003-2010). He was President and Chief Executive Officer of Philips Lighting BV, based in the Netherlands, until 2000 and Executive Vice President of Philips Electronics NV from 1998 to 2002 when he returned to England. Mr Whybrow received the Polish Order of Merit in 2002. He is currently Chairman of Petworth Cottage Nursing Home.
